Vintage Me for Martlets Hospice Christmas Fair

A queue of vintage fashion fans flocked and we waited patiently for the doors to open we were treated to some 40s swing of a wooden phonogram!

On the road…Haddon Events Vintage Fair

Whilst visiting my folks and having a good old rummage at the local charity shops I discovered two wonderful things. First was a fabulous hand knitted horizontal cable knit cardigan (sorry no picture – it’s mine now!) and the second was a poster for Haddon Events Vintage Fair taking place that same Sunday.

Had a fantastic time at Runnymede Community Hall, every pitch was  jam packed with affordable era pieces.  We had such a good time looking I almost forgot to take pictures! Here’s my Mum holding up an 80s ‘Bonnie Tyler’ fringed leather jacket!  We took our time at the vintage tea & cake table, and whilst digging in we watched the marvelous Retro Dance Club members jitterbug and lindy hop on stage!

We were very impressed by the planning and presentation (a family run events company at the helm!).  The stall holders boasted such variety and menswear, although a smaller selection, was very selective and high quality. Well worth a look for vintage fans in East Anglia area the next one is happening on Sunday 27th October at the Museum of Power check it out!
